Obligatory first post

A few years ago, I was talking with a local Episcopal priest about Louis Crew. Rather than the usual subjects one could or would discuss about Lutibelle (his nom de drag), the discussion was about the quantity found on his website. This priest, whose identity I will protect, said something like, “There is nothing he has thought that he hasn’t written down.”

It wasn’t a compliment.

The identity of this priest is safe with me because I agree with him. So, I will take responsibility for making the comment in public.

This is why it has taken to Wednesday, January 28, 2009, for me to start a blog. I wasn’t going to be the heir to Quean Lutibelle’s title. That is, like I could ever challenge him for it!

Still, if one makes his living by writing these days, one had better write. And, my opinions are just as good as anyone else’s. (Just nod your head in agreement and it will make me feel good.)

So, here are the thoughts coherent and rambling of a technical communicator and editor who manages to do a little journalism now and then. And someone that was on the winning Pubstumpers team for Fall 2008 at a pub in Lake Stevens, Washington.

That and $5.00 will buy you a Guiness.
