Episcopal Bookstore—As I see it: The woman who wanted a Bible

Wow.
I can think of other questions reading John’s blog post.
- Was this person wanting a Bible for another person—and why?
- Was this person attributing magical powers to a book—and what magic did this person want?
- Was this person wanting to desecrate a Bible for a black magic spell, much like desecrating a reserved communion host?
It isn’t enough to tell someone that the Bible is on-line for free.
It would be easy to say that some publisher should make a $1 Bible available as a ministry. Yea, right. Like we can pass our responsibility off on someone else to do ministry.
From John’s comments, and knowing John and his wife, I do believe he was trying to find a way to meet that person’s needs the best anyone could. But, what was the need? Was a copy of the Bible what was needed?
How do we minister when we don’t even know the need.
