Hey! Twitter works, part two!

Posted 26 September 2009 by

I had made blog comments how Twitter had worked twice for me twice in one week back on August 17, 2009. The two times were:

  • A visitor at church recognizing me from following me on Twitter.
  • Being in a KING-TV news story about Twitter and the Washington State Department of Transportation.

I found out that my 15 minutes of fame in the news report has gone further than I expected. Yesterday evening (September 25, 2009) someone came up to me at J. R. Phinickey’s in Monroe, Washington, and mentioned that news report. This was about 40 days after the report aired one time. We had managed to miss each other over this time. Most of that had to do with me wanting to be outside on my motorcycle during the nice weather than being inside a biker bar.

At this time I could add a joke about the person mentioning this is female. I won’t though. You may write your own, posting it in the comments.

By the way, she is one of the regulars at Phinickey’s that knows the meaning of the rainbow strip on my bike’s license plate holder. You’ll have to be more original in your joke.
