I strongly support the idea behind this initiative. However, if you can do the right thing for the wrong reason you create even bigger problems.


Charter schools have been repeatedly been defeated in Washington State. The evidence so far is that we would be wasting our time if we do approve them. So, why do we want to create a new bureaucracy to do what we are already doing?

We have founded for you a republic if you can keep it. Vote no. And, if your legislator acts improperly, vote to replace your legislator.

Initiative Measure 1183 seeks to turn liquor sales in Washington State over to the private market. It is the second time in two years we have voted on this. Initiative 1183 has several problems from my point of view without giving any advantages. Why give up what works well?
